Our Second Luxury Custom Residence To Be Completed at Silverleaf in Scottsdale: A comfortable and engaging Spanish Colonial home in the Arcadia neighborhood.

The residence is located on a lot situated adjacent to lush desert open space in the Arcadia District at Silverleaf, with a spacious central courtyard oriented to take maximum advantage of the property’s view opportunities to the north. The overall theme of the design was to bring a restrained sense of authenticity to Spanish Colonial residential architecture in Scottsdale on the exterior, while imbuing the interior with a clean and contemporary “vibe”, which still related honestly to the exterior expression.

The living room and great room are on adjacent sides of the courtyard, with the covered dining loggia directly off the kitchen. The kitchen, with its full height tile walls, large bank of refrigeration units, and generous corner window, give a sense of functioning as a professional “boulangerie” or “patisserie” space; while a well-appointed butler’s pantry sits between the kitchen and dining room, allowing additional storage space for the otherwise “open-shelved” kitchen. The spa and pool loggia are accessed directly from the master bathroom, which also boasts an enclosed private bathing garden. The view from the large steel sash door and window unit in the living room is dominated by the pool, stretching to the back of the lot and the beautiful desert landscape beyond.

The main level includes the master suite, and second bedroom, the latter being accessed from the exterior pool courtyard, which allows it to function as an attached “guest casita” or more private bedroom apppropriate for an older child. The bedroom complement is finished with two additional bedrooms and a small but charming loggia on the upper level.

The home is finished with authentic 3 coat plaster walls inside and out, and beamed ceilings in primary living spaces, as well as the Master Suite.

The project was published in Luxe Magazine.
